Task force told to intensify campaign vs illegal drugs

BACOLOD City Police Office (BCPO) Director Ricardo De la Paz Monday ordered City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (CAIDSOTG) head Santiago Rapiz to intensify their campaign against illegal drugs.
Rapiz said De la Paz instructed him to intensify their campaign against illegal drugs, especially this coming holiday seasons, to neutralize the drug pushers, adding the supply of drugs during yuletide season is expected to increase.
He said they are concentrating on the apprehension of suspected drug pushers in the city to neutralize the distribution of illegal drugs, especially for the teenagers.
Last Monday, Police Regional Office-Western Visayas recognized the accomplishment of CAIDSTOG in their campaign against illegal drugs.
De la Paz and Rapiz received the Medalya ng Kagalingan for the apprehension of the drug pusher Nemia Jalando-on, of Purok Sibucao, Barangay Banago, who was tagged as “shabu queen” in the city.
Among the awardees are PO3 Sherwin Rojas, Rodel Delos Reyes, Benjo Ballo-allo; PO2 Alexander Bata-anon Jr., Ana Rose Espolong, Raymon Abaring, Ivan Inopero, Fred Vingno, Paul John Canuday, Ferdimark Penaroyo, Tony Hechanova, Dave Dapat; PO1 Arwil Villagonzalo, Ramon Juablar, Joebel Dela Pena, and Geraldine Guinanao.
