Murder suspect arrested-A A +A

A CONSTRUCTION worker with a pending arrest warrant was arrested by operatives of Station 9 at Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City Tuesday afternoon.
Station 9 commander Placido Gentoleo identified the suspect as Rafael Onate, 40, of Barangay Ilijan, Bago City, Negros Occidental who was arrested at 12:49 p.m.
Gentoleo said the suspect was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant for murder issued by Judge Frances Guanzon, of Regional Trial Court (RTC), Bacolod City.
No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.
He said Onate was also the suspect in the killing of his colleague Ryan Espanola, 32, of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental in Purok Fatima in Baranagy Sum-ag, Bacolod over an old grudge.
Gentoleo added after the incident, Onate used the fictitious name “Allan Alayon,” 40, of Ilog town, Negros Occidental.
The suspect was already endorsed to Bago City police station. Station 9 is also preparing the charges to be filed against him for the death of Espanola.
On the other hand, a 50-year-old with a pending arrest warrant was also arrested by operatives of Station 4 Tuesday afternoon.
Station 4 commander Danilo Francisco identified the suspect as Donie Geroche, of Purok Villa Villeta, Barangay Estefania who was arrested at 4:30 p.m.
Francisco said the suspect was arrested by virtue of arrest warrant for frustrated homicide issued by Judge Abraham Bayona, of MTCC, Bacolod City with P12, 00 bail recommended for his temporary liberty.
The suspect is presently detained at the lockup cell of Station 4. (Merlinda Pedrosa)
