Police assure safety of Unigames

THE security plan on the ongoing Sandugo-University Games is all set to ensure the safety of athletes from various schools in the country, Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Director Ricardo De la Paz said Wednesday.
De la Paz said several policemen were deployed in different areas in the city to ensure that there will be no untoward incidents in the city.
The Unigames 2012 will run from October 22 to 28 and is hosted by University of St. La Salle (USLS).
De la Paz said they are coordinating with the organizers of Unigames in providing security escorts for the players.
The Unigames was participated by different schools in the country vying in 13 sports namely basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis karatedo, chess among others.
De la Paz said they will also ensure the smooth flow of traffic during the event. (Merlinda A. Pedrosa)
