GOVERNOR Alfredo Marañon Jr. assured Capitol employees of the inclusion of the fourth tranche of their salary increase in the 2013 budget of the Provincial Government.
The governor submitted the 2013 budget worth P2 billion for approval to the Provincial Board.
Marañon said Capitol employees, like any other employees of the local government units, are entitled to a 25 percent increase of their salaries for the fourth tranche.
He said the ball is now with the Provincial Board to approve the budget.
Board member Salvador Escalante said the Committee on Finance and Appropriations that he chairs is still deliberating on the P2-billion budget for 2013.
Marañon made the announcement after he learned of the threats of the Capitol employees that they will hold pickets if the SP fails to approve the 2013 budget that includes the allocation for their salary increase.
Escalante said they are already halfway on its deliberation and that the respective department heads are being called to attend the budget hearing to defend their respective budgets.
Based on the Summary of Appropriations, the Office of the Governor has the biggest budget for next year at P98,106,679 from P91,979,908 in the current year.
