BACOLOD City Police Office (BCPO) Director Ricardo De la Paz said they are ready for the upcoming national Annual General Inspection-Operational Readiness Security Inspection (Agi-Orsite) next week.
De la Paz Tuesday said they will check on the readiness of the operation of the police office and the compliance on the directive from National Police Commission (NPC).
The Agi-Orsite will be conducted by inspectors from Camp Crame to check BCPO's records and the operation readiness of police in case of critical incidents, such as bank robberies and hostage-taking.
De la Paz said several rehearsals were already conducted by BCPO, such as the check point operation and different arrest techniques and hostage situation and other activities to form the crisis management scenario.
He said inspectors will also check whether police personnel are complying with the correct wearing of uniform and with other directives or policies of the national office.
The Agi-Orsite is a simultaneous activity in the country, in line with the Philippine National Police's (PNP) drive for continued improvement among its personnel in responsiveness to crime and calamities.
The city director said during the last Agi-Orsite, BCPO got a very satisfactory performance from the inspectors and they are now targeting to improve their performance. (Merlinda A. Pedrosa)
