Negros Occidental tops number of police promotees

THE Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Noppo) posted the highest number of police personnel in Western Visayas who were promoted to the next higher rank.

All over the region, 340 police officers were recently promoted to the next higher rank by the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas.

PRO-Western Visayas Director Agrimero Cruz Jr. said that out of 340 police officers, 134 were promoted to the rank of Police Officer (PO) 2, 122 to PO3, 24 to Senior Police Officer 1, nine to SPO2, 49 to SPO3 and two to SPO4.

Noppo has the most number of promotees with 81. The Iloilo PPO has 72; Capiz PPO - 36; Aklan PPO - 35; Bacolod City PO - 33; Antique PPO - 28; Iloilo City PO - 20; Guimaras PPO – 11; 6th Regional Public Safety Battalion - 6; and the Regional Headquarters has 18.

Cruz said the promotion of these personnel is an incentive to their good performance.

He also reminded the promotees to continue doing their job well and bear in mind that the next higher rank entails more responsibility. (TDE)
