Reports: ‘Big 3’ supports Novero

THE three members of the Bacolod City Council who were considered as "The Big 3" have reportedly thrown their support to Magnificent 7 vice mayoralty candidate lawyer Renecito Novero.
Reports have it that Councilors Dindo Ramos, Homer Bais and Al Victor Espino, who are graduating members of the council, have not accepted until now the decision made by Grupo Progreso stalwarts Mayor Evelio Leonardia and Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson in choosing vice mayoralty candidate Greg Gasataya.
The three earlier expected that one of them will be chosen as candidate for vice mayor by Grupo Progreso.
Bais said earlier that in case he will not be chosen, he will gracefully retire from politics and live a private life.
Espino, for his part, said in previous interviews that he will just go back to private life and concentrate with his family and business.
To recall, only Leonardia and Sayson came out to endorse Gasataya, while other members of the council who belonged to Grupo Progreso stayed in a room and waited for the incumbent mayor and vice mayor to make their endorsement.
Bais admitted that he has no problem with Gasataya, but until now, “Gasataya has not approached anyone of us. Vladi Gonzales even approached but we could not agree with his accomplishments as against the position he is seeking."
He added that Novero is a logical choice.
Espino refused to comment when asked about who they will really support, while Ramos said they will announce their decision soon.
