VICE mayoralty candidate for Bacolod City Renecito Novero said he is humbled by the reported support of councilors Homer Bais, Dindo Ramos and Al Victor Espino or known as the “Big 3.”
"Well, I am humbled by the empowering news about the Big 3's support. After all, we were together for three years when I served Bacolod City as Vice-Mayor in the 2004-2007 term," he said.
He added that they are personal witnesses to the quality of his servant-leadership in the City Council which he believes drew their conviction to his favor.
"[It is] my profound gratitude to such a pleasant surprise. I believe I did well when I served the City as Vice-Mayor in my first term. I vow, by Heaven's graces, to do better when I return," he said.
Earlier, Bais was quoted as saying that his group is having exploratory talks about the support for Novero.
"Personally, I have no problem with Greg. But until now, he has not approached anyone of us. Vladi Gonzales even approached but we could not agree with his accomplishments as against the position he is seeking," Bais said in his earlier statement.
Bais added that Novero is the logical choice for their group to support.
