Suspect in P500,000 heist arrested

ONE of the robbery suspects who ransacked a two-storey residential house in Villa Lucasan, Barangay Mandalagan and took more than half a million in cash, appliances and jewelry was arrested in follow-up operation by operatives of Station 3 last Thursday.
Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) officer-in-charge Edgardo Ordaniel identified Friday the suspect as Joliben Pulgo, 21, of Purok Arisola, Barangay Villamonte.
Ordaniel said Pulgo was arrested in follow-up operation by Station 3 personnel led by Police Senior Inspector Dianne Aquitania in Barangay Bata.
He said Pulgo was accused of stealing more than half a million pesos in cash, appliances and jewelry from the house of Efrain Rafael Lamprea.
The complainant reported earlier to police that when they returned to their house last Wednesday, February 6, they discovered that their living room was in disarray and numerous items were already missing.
The suspects took a MacBook Pro computer worth P50,000, iPod worth P23,000, iPhone worth P20,000, personal computer worth P20,000, two diamond rings worth P60,000, two gold bracelets worth P14,000, gold necklace worth P10,000, 12 ladies watches worth P150,000, eight men's watches worth P120,000, P80,000 cash, US$20,000, and ß40,000, police record showed.
Ordaniel said the suspect was identified after thorough investigation, which is ongoing to identify Pulgo’s companion.
He said Pulgo is now detained at the lock-up cell of Station 3.
The suspect was also involved in several robbery incidents in Bacolod City and has pending records at BCPO.
