SUPERINTENDENT Santiago Rapiz, head of City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (CAIDSOTG), said Tuesday that he has received death threats because of his massive campaign against illegal drugs in the city.
He said he received text messages and phone calls last Monday warning him to be careful because his activities are already monitored.
As a member of the Philippine National Police, he said he already anticipated the death threats but he assured that the threats could not affect his performance in the massive campaign against illegal drugs in Bacolod.
Rapiz vowed that he will not stop apprehending drug pushers who continue to operate in Bacolod.
He said it was observed that most of the riding-in-tandem suspects, akyat-bahay and robbery hold-up suspects were under the influence of illegal drugs.
Rapiz disclosed that, since he was tasked to head the CAIDSOTG, he has never been cowed to face those persons who tried to stop him in the campaign against illegal drugs. (MAP)
