Villar confirms attendance in Team PNoy rally

LIBERAL Party (LP) Coalition Team PNoy senatorial bet Cynthia Villar confirmed attendance in party's sorties in Bacolod and in some parts of the third district of Negros Occidental on Friday.
Villar, who was a three-term Representative of Las Piñas, led the passage of landmark bills upholding the welfare of women, children and families.
Among these pieces of legislations were the Magna Carta of Women, anti-trafficking of women and children, anti-violence against women, protection of children in the workplace, juvenile justice system and the two versions of the Senior Citizens Act (2003 and 2010).
As chairperson of the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education in 2004 to 2010 or in the 14th Congress, Villar authored and led the passage of 28 bills promoting access to quality education nationwide, among which are the University of the Philippines (UP) Charter of 2008 and the Philippine Normal University (PNU) Modernization Act of 2009.
Villar said Team PNoy will arrive in Bacolod City from Iloilo around 9 a.m. of Friday. The team will attend an activity of the women sector at the Pavilion Hotel upon arrival.
Third district Representative Albee Benitez, provincial chairman of LP, said Team PNoy will proceed to Talisay City Public Plaza for a rally then to Silay City and Victorias City.
The team then will also hold a caravan from Victorias City back to Bacolod City around 5 p.m. for the grand rally.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia who will receive Team PNoy in Bacolod City said all is set now for the grand rally of the team at the Bacolod City Public Plaza.
