Iloilo, Bacolod top gun ban violations

WESTERN Visayas Regional Police Office has confirmed that the cities of Iloilo and Bacolod have the most number of violators of the recently implemented Commission on Elections (Comelec) gun ban.

All over Western Visayas, there were 74 violators, the police said.

Iloilo City has the most number of violators with 18, followed by Bacolod City with 16, Negros Occidental with 12, Iloilo province with 11, Capiz with eight, Aklan with five, Antique and Guimaras with two each.

The confiscated firearms also increased to 50.

There were also 23 bladed weapons, one hand grenade and two gun/grenade replicas confiscated, the police added.

PRO-6 also reported that 54 cases were already filed in court while 14 others are still under investigation.
