Capitol employees to hold prayer vigil today

CAPITOL employees belonging to the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (Pace) will hold a prayer vigil before the start of the regular session of the Provincial Board today, Wednesday, according to Ruben Diamante, president of Pace.
He said the activity is to dramatize the agony of the capitol employees due to the non-approval up to this time of the fourth tranche of their salary increase due to the disapproval of the budget.
Diamante said that they may also hold a boodle fight after the prayer vigil from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the Capitol grounds.
Wednesday last week, the Capitol employees also held a boodle fight.
However, the SP may still not proceed with their regular session today, as the Committee on Finance is still deliberating on the proposed 2013 budget.
The Capitol employees are also asking for the release of their additional bonus of P20,000 each which they were supposed to receive in January.
