LIBERAL Party (LP) Bacolod Chairman Emeritus lawyer Andy Hagad will write to Senator Franklin Drilon to clarify the declaration of Bacolod as a free zone.
“There were issued certificates of nomination so how can it be declared a free zone…LP has official candidates for councilors in Bacolod,” Hagad said.
He, however, said they have no ill feelings against Drilon, adding that the LP 12 is not divided. “It just happens that it is elections so each group chose their own candidates. We are still united,” he said.
Drilon did not endorse any candidate for councilor of the LP but raised the hand of former councilor Alex Paglumotan, a candidate for councilor of the Nationalist People's Coalition (NPC), during the Team PNoy sortie at the Bacolod plaza last Friday.
Drilon also endorsed mayoralty candidate Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson and vice mayoralty candidate Greg Gasataya of the NPC-Grupo Progreso.
They will address their position paper to Drilon through LP provincial chair Albee Benitez.
