Golez endorses Puentevella for mayor

BACOLOD City Representative Anthony Rolando Golez Jr. endorsed Magbinuligay Kita sa Kauswagan mayoralty candidate Monico O. Puentevella in a media interview on Wednesday.

Golez said he supports Puentevella because they feel the same way on the handling of the city affairs by his former partymates -- members of the Nationalist People's Coalition.

"Monico and I could not swallow what the city officials are doing," he said.

He said he cannot support somebody who is adversarial to him, referring NPC Grupo Progreso mayoralty candidate Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson.

Puentevella said he is humbled and thankful that Golez had given him his support.

"I hope that the other candidates will do the same, as this is the time for Bacolod to have change," he said.
