PHILIP Arles denied that a Cauayan resident who was nabbed and detained by the Cauayan police for violation of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) gun ban is his political leader and bodyguard.
"That is pure and simple allegation against me by my political opponent," Arles said.
He said Norberto Dequillo could be his supporter but he does not know him.
"We could not really identify all our supporters and, besides, he is from Cauayan and the town is not my political turf," Arles said.
Dequillo was arrested Wednesday night by the Cauayan police for reportedly firing his gun but he was reportedly out on bail.
Text messages circulated that Dequillo was the bodyguard and political leader of Arles.
Philip is the son of slain judge Henry Arles and is challenging re-electionist Mercedes Alvarez for the congressional seat at the sixth district. (TDE)
