Western Visayas police office has 95 new recruits

THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas has 95 new police recruits who took their oaths of office at Camp Delgado, Iloilo City recently.
The neophyte cops, composed of 43 females and 52 males, went through the recruitment process for the Supplemental Quota for 2012 Second Semester PO1 Attrition Recruitment Program of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
PRO regional director Agrimero Cruz Jr. said they will be appointed in temporary status for a year.
The recruits are required to undergo the six-month training in Public Safety Basic Recruit Course at the Regional Training School 6 in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City and another six-month field training exercises in the different cities and capital towns of Western Visayas to be permanently appointed in the service.
After their mandatory training to include the 45-day training period on PNP Modified Scout, the new police officers have mandatory duty assignment for two years with the Regional Public Safety Battalion in Western Visayas.
As police officers 1, they will receive a basic salary of P14,834, or a gross pay of P20,404, inclusive of allowances per month. (TDE)
