Binay delivers P89M housing projects in Negros-A A +A

VICE President and Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) Chairman Jejomar Binay distributed P86.5 million for various housing projects in Negros Occidental during his visit in Silay City Wednesday last week.
Binay said the HUDCC is still working hard because, in the entire country, there is still a housing backlog of 3.6 million.
Binay turned over the checks for the Localized Community Mortgage Program (CMP) for Silay City amounting to P3.933 million as payment for the land owned by the local government unit (LGU) for three CMP Projects taken out last February 28, 2013 with 157 beneficiaries.
He also signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the City of Bacolod for the P21.6-million Omnibus Commitment Line for 11 projects with 640 beneficiaries and with the City of Cadiz for a 43.5 Million Omnibus Commitment Line for 8 projects with 936 beneficiaries.
The Vice President also signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Pag-ibig Fund and the Municipality of Manapla for a P20-million Housing Loan for the LGU Employees Housing Project.
Binay also distributed Plaques and Certificates of Completion to 26 LGUS in the province for the Comprehensive Land Use Plan Zero Backlog by 2013 Program of the HLURB, and distributed Transfer Certificate of Titles to six members of Talabaan Urban Poor Association Inc. in Cadiz City and Certificates of Lot Allocation to 126 member-beneficiaries of four CMP projects in Valladolid and Bacolod City.
