MORE policemen will be assigned in different areas in Bacolod City on Monday to ensure the peace and order during the anti-pork barrel rally, Bacolod City Police Office Acting Director Edgardo Ordaniel said.
He said some groups of the Anti-Priority Development Assistance Fund will hold a rally in the city.
Ordaniel said more policemen will be assigned in identified rally centers to monitor the possible operations of lawless elements who might take advantage the activity.
The “Million People March to Luneta” is also being circulated on the Internet and Facebook posts, and they aim to gather citizens who are outraged by the misuse of public funds.
In Bacolod City, Ordaniel said the rally will be divided into three groups from SM Reclamation Area; Carmelite and at the Chinese Temple. The groups will march going to Capitol Lagoon around 8:30 a.m.
Authorities were also directed to monitor the engagement areas to ensure peace and order, Ordaniel said.
The city director said the protestors assured them they will also police their ranks during the rally.
