Call center agents complain vs ‘recruiter’-A A +A
Saturday, September 21, 2013
A CALL center agent, who represented about 1,500 of his colleagues who were allegedly deceived and fooled by a certain “John Eslit,” owner-proprietor of the 7 Star website provider, has warned the public not to fall prey to the "modus operandi" of Eslit.
Ace Enuslay, one of the call center agents hired by Eslit, complained on Friday when P40 million in check covering his salary for a month issued by Eslit bounced.
"I was told to receive this salary for August amounting to P40 million and he issued me a China Bank check dated Sept 20, 2013. I went to the bank to encash the check and only found out that his bank account is a closed account," Enuslay said.
About 1,500 applicants paid Eslit P375 each and were promised a fat salary ranging from P200,000 up to P40 million.
The P375 covers notarial services of P50; P70 for website; and P250 for a company handbook.
Enuslay said that although unbelievable, they applied and worked with Eslit, whose office is located at the 2nd floor of Nena Rose Building at Libertad St., Bacolod City.
Eslit told them that he can afford to pay his employees with such big amounts because he is earning P143 million every hour, Enuslay said.
The victims have already filed charges against Eslit
