MAYOR Agustin Bascon of Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental said between 13 and 15 employees of the local government are set to be charged in court for the alleged falsification of his signature in questionable transactions amounting to about P6 million.
Bascon said this is the result of an investigative task force he has formed in the City Government amid reports of ghost deliveries and other transactions reportedly bearing his signature.
The same case is being investigated by the National Bureau of Investigation. The mayor, however, declined to name the said city employees.
He said the transactions are minimal in amounts, the reason why it has not generated attention but when compounded it reached millions of pesos.
