TWO former governors of Negros Occidental and some former board members have unliquidated cash advances for their travels.
Records from the provincial accountant show that former Governor Isidro Zayco has an unliquidated cash advance of P183,624.44 while former Governor Rafael Coscolluela was also not able to liquidate P129,082.01 for his travel.
Provincial accountant Merly Fortu said Capitol employees and officials who were not yet able to submit receipts and other travel documents were sent reminders, so that they can correct the records.
Other officials who have unliquidated cash advances for travel are former board member Ike Barredo - P3,700; Adolfo Mangao - P39,670; Emilio Yulo III - P60,459; Francis Gerard Tuvilla - P82,340.50; Dino Acuña - P13,222; the late SPM Macario Zafra - P41,864.17; Rolando Ponsica (re-elected) - P17,795.67; and Mae Javellana - P22,782.
Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. said those having unliquidated cash advance for travel would not be allowed to secure another cash advance for travel, unless they account for their cash advances.
Fortu said that unliquidated cash advances had been reduced from P10 million to only P4 million.
