WESTERN Visayas Police Regional Office (PRO) director Agrimero Cruz Jr. reminded recipients of the Glock-17 handguns to use the firearms responsibly.
Cruz, with PRO-Western Visayas logistics head Ren Daroca and Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Noppo) director Milko Lirazan, turned over 204 new Glock-17 firearms to Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) acting director Edgardo Ordaniel Friday.
“I’m hoping that those who will receive the firearms, will use it responsibly and to perform well in their duty,” Cruz said.
He earlier said BCPO will receive about 250 Glock-17 firearms, but Ordaniel said only 204 Glock firearms were released because some of the units will be reserved for the PRO-Western Visayas.
The regional director said Negros Occidental has the highest issued number of Glock-17 that reached 800 units.
