Baywalk gets permit to operate-A A +A
Tuesday, October 8, 2013
THE City Government of Bacolod has granted Almana Property Development Corporation, owner of Baywalk Restaurant and Entertainment, a business to operate at the Reclamation area until December 31, said city administrator Rolando Villamor.
He said the City Permits and Licensing Division could not issue a special permit unless there is a regular permit. Those who operate kiosks and food carts inside Baywalk were granted special permits.
Villamor said that Baywalk owners have assured the city to operate their business within the duration of the 34th MassKara Festival despite their permit is until December 31.
He added that Baywalk has complied with all the requirements under the law, thus, a regular permit was granted. But this is without prejudice to the conduct of further dialogs and discussions as to who really owns the port apron or road lots where Baywalk currently occupies.
Baywalk started its operation last October 4. It was closed down by the Leonardia administration because it failed to comply with the requisites of a business permit.
They also applied using their office address in Singcang Airport and had questions on the ownership of the property.
