20 barangays, 11 schools to compete in streetdance-A A +A

THERE are 20 barangays and 11 schools which will compete for the 34th MassKara Festival arena and streetdance competition.
The barangays are Cabug, Alijis, 6, 16, 21, 26, 31, 37, 3, 4, 22, 39, 12, 34, 15, 11, 20, 29, 35, and 30.
They will compete on Oct. 20, noontime.
The prizes for the barangay category include - P100,000 for the champion; P75,000 for the first prize and P50,000 for the second prize winner.
For the school category, the champion will receive P75,000; P50,000 for the first prize and P30,000 for the second runner-up.
The schools competing on October 18 are Paglaum Village Elementary School, Vista ALegre-Granada Relocation Elementary School, Crispino Y. Ramos Elementary school, Education and Training Center School, Villa Esperanza Elementary School, Mansilingan Agro Industrial High School, Bacolod City National High school and Barangay Singcang Airport National High School.
Kasadya Bacolod Foundation Inc. president and festival director Rhoderick Samonte, with Bacolod City Police Office traffic and safety officers Jefferson Descallar and Levy Pange have explained about the traffic and road closures especially on October 17-20 with the staging of
the Electric Masskara nights at Lacson Strip.
"In order to facilitate the event flow and the safety of all participants, guests, visitors, spectators and revelers during the highlights of the MassKara festival, the general public is advised to note the following traffic and road closure arrangements in accordance with SP Resolution 263 dated October 2, 2013.
Motorists are advised to avoid the affected roads and to slow down should they be allowed to travel along these roads or pass these affected junctions. Police and traffic enforcers will be stationed at all affected road junctions to regulate traffic and facilitate movement of pedestrians.
