MassKara Festival 2013 peaceful: PNP-A A +A

THE MassKara Festival 2013 was generally peaceful, with zero casualty and no major incidents reported in different festival sites in Bacolod City, police acting director, Senior Supt. Edgardo Ordaniel, yesterday said.
Ordaniel said there were some recorded crime incidents in the city, but not connected with the festival. There were some incidents that happened outside the festival sites, such as robberies.
He said several policemen were deployed to festival sites to maintain the peace and order and to secure the safety of the revelers.
The city director was also thankful for the cooperation of the entire station commanders, force multipliers, Philippine Army, police officers from Police Regional Office-Western Visayas, Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, and other agencies who augmented the BCPO to maintain the peace and order.
He said they also successfully implemented the gun ban that resulted in the apprehension of about three persons in different areas of Bacolod.
Some drug pushers were nabbed during the celebration.
