3 killed on election day-A A +A

THREE persons were killed during Monday’s conduct of barangay elections but the Commission on Elections (Comelec) is still evaluating if the incidents were indeed election-related incidents.
In Toboso town, two persons riding in tandem were killed by five persons lead by an incumbent village councilman and candidate for Punong Barangay in Sitio Quinalumsan, Barangay Poblacion.
The victims who died of head and chest injuries were identified by the police as Juan Leonardo Belleza of Bacolod city and Bryan Bacordo of Don Salvador Benedicto, while one of the suspects was identified as Gary Enriquez.
Reports showed that the victims riding in tandem were on their way to Barangay Salamnca also in Toboso when they were overtaken by the suspects riding in a tricycle and strafed them.
Police recovered from the crime scene slugs of 9 mm pistol and .45 caliber pistol.
The police said they already have the names of four other suspects and that they are still investigating the real motive of the incident.
Another shooting incident also happened Monday in Cadiz City that took the life of the victim whose name is still being determined as of press time.
