Liquor ban in Mansilingan today-A A +A

THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) will strictly enforce the liquor ban in Barangay Mansilingan the entire day today, Saturday, for the conduct of the plebiscite for the ratification of the creation of Barangay Paglaum.
Senior Superintendent Edgardo Ordaniel, acting police director of BCPO, said he directed Police Station 7 commander, Senior Insp. Jose Mulleta, to watch out for violators who will be arrested and charged.
The police are also strictly enforcing the gun ban that is taking effect until January 15.
He said about 60 policemen will be assigned in Barangay Mansilingan today to ensure peace and order for the plebiscite.
The police will also escort the personnel of Commission on Elections (Comelec) who will travel with the ballots from Bacolod Arts and Youth Sports Center (Bays Center) to Barangay Mansilingan.
The police are required to report at Bays Center at 3 a.m, Ordaniel added.
The voting centers are at Paglaum Village Elementary School, Don Antonio L. Jayme Elementary School and Gonzaga Elementary School.
Residents will vote “Yes” if they are in favor of the creation of Barangay Paglaum and “No” if not.
Ordaniel asked for the cooperation of the residents of Barangay Mansilingan for a peaceful plebiscite.
