THE Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said it has extended for six months the Small Town Lottery (STL) operations in Negros Occidental to provide jobs to about 5,000 Negrenses.
In a certification issued on January 30, 2014, PSCO general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas said the STL operations will supervised by the Super Lucky Beagler Inc. (SLBI).
Under the supervision of SLBI, STL will operate in 19 of the 31 towns and cities in Negros Occidental.
SLBI is an authorized agent corporation for the PCSO STL game operating in the province, the certification stated.
The STL game operations were extended from February 1, 2014 to July 31, 2014, unless sooner terminated, by virtue of PCSO Board Resolution No.36, series of 2014, dated January 30.
The STL charity fund-sharing scheme provides that revenues accruing to STL will be divided as follows: city or municipality, 10 percent; provincial government, 5 percent; Philippine National Police, 5 percent; and congressional district, 2.5 percent. The remaining 7.5 percent goes to PCSO.
The STL operations in Negros Occidental was first extended from July to October 31 last year. (PNA)
