NEGROS Occidental Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said First District board member Rolando Ponsica took a one-month leave from April 1 to 30.
Lacson did not divulge the reason for Ponsica's leave of absence, but he said the board member is now in the United States and will be back in time for the Provincial Board regular session in May 7.
Ponsica presided the Provincial Board’s session last March 26 during the passage of the ordinance on the reorganization of Capitol employees due to the absence of Lacson, who then attended the Bago City College graduation rites as speaker.
Meanwhile, Provincial Administrator Enrique Pinongan said Governor Alfredo Marañon will issue an executive order for the creation of the implementation committee of the Capitol reorganization.
But as of this time, the SP has not yet submitted the approved ordinance.
"We are waiting for the ordinance so that the executive order could be issued by the governor," Pinongan said.
Pinongan said that under the partial reorganization, the Public Affairs Division, Panaad Park Administration, and the Provincial Sports Office will merge and will be called Office on Special Concerns, while the Provincial Information Office and the Provincial Library will also be merged.
The reorganization committee will determine who will head the respective offices.
There will be no demotion for other division heads who won't be appointed as the head of the new offices that will be created because they will be made to apply to positions having the same salary grades that they are currently receiving, he added.
