Saturday, April 26, 2014
SENIOR Superintendent Milko Lirazan has been picked by Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. to become the full-fledged provincial director of the Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office (Noppo).
Lirazan has been serving as acting Noppo director since July last year.
"He is already there and besides (Senior Supt. Larry) Decena will be retiring in July," Marañon said.
The two other recommendees are Senior Supt. Dominador Tubon, chief of the PNP Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies, and Senior Supt. Larry Decena, presently officer-in-charge of the Bacolod City Police Office.
The governor revealed his choice after the Philippine National Police (PNP) Directorate for Personnel and Records Management issued a list of three senior police officers who are candidates for director of Noppo.
Lirazan had earlier said that being the acting Noppo director, he can stay on as permanent police director.
The National Police Commission Resolution No. 2014-92 stated that Lirazan, Tubon and Decena are qualified and fit to assume the position of provincial police director of Negros Occidental. (TDE)
