Multiple raps filed vs 2 drug pushers-A A +A

MULTIPLE charges were filed by the Special Operations Group (SOG) before the City Prosecutor’s Office Tuesday against two suspected drug pushers who were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Bacolod City Sunday.
Charged were Raffy Bulan, 32, and his friend Raymund Iballa, 30, both residents of Barangay Villamonte. The two were arrested in Purok Cubay, Barangay Villamonte, this city.
Superintendent Jefferson Descallar, head of SOG, said Bulan is facing charges for violation of Section 5 or illegal sale of marijuana, and Section 11 or possession of marijuana under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Also included are charges for violation of Section 28 of R.A. 10591 or unlawful possession of firearms, Section 3 of R.A. 9516 or unlawful possession of explosives as well as resisting arrest, and direct assault upon an agent of person in authority.
Bulan was injured after he was shot by a police operative for attempting to fight back.
Iballa was also charged for violation of Section 5 of R.A. 9165, resisting arrest, and assault upon an agent of person in authority, he added.
Descallar said violations of Section 5 of R.A. 9165 are non-bailable offenses.
The recovered marijuana cigarettes from the suspects have a market value of P7,000.
