THREE persons were reported missing after crossing a river in Sitio Cilia, Barangay Crossing Magallon, Moises Padilla late Wednesday morning.

Benjie Ballesteros of the Provincial Disaster Management Division under the Office of the Governor said they received a report from the Moises Padilla rescue group about the incident.

Ballesteros said rescue groups have been conducting search operations for the three persons whose identities are still being established as of press time.

Meanwhile, the two fishermen from Himamaylan City who were reported missing Tuesday returned home safely Tuesday evening through the help of residents of Hinigaran town.

Dave Cuajao, weather forecaster of PDMD, said Jun-Jun Magbanua, 20 and his brother Soysoy, 18, of Purok Mabulo, Barangay San Juan, Himamaylan arrived around 6 p.m.
Cuajao said the Himamaylan City Risk Reduction and Management Office said the two brothers sought shelter in Hinigaran due to strong waves brought about Typhoon Glenda.

When they learned that they were reported missing, the two brothers asked for assistance so they can return home.

They went to sea around 4 a.m. Monday.

Their mother, Mila, reported Tuesday morning that her two children on board a blue and white vessel failed to return.

On Tuesday, two fishermen were also rescued by members of Pontevedra Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office along the town’s coastal area after they were injured at sea. (MAP)
