Teen, 2 others hurt in Negros Occidental shooting

Wednesday, January 11, 2017

A TEENAGER and two others, including a tricycle driver, were injured after they were shot by an unidentified man at Sitio Utod, Barangay 1 in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on Monday.

The Kabankalan City Police Station identified the victims as Bernard Riverj, 23, and tricycle driver Daniel Consular, 34, both residents of Barangay Hilamonan. The minor’s name was withheld by the police.

Investigation showed that Riverj and the minor together with their three friends provoked the assailant, prompting him to go after them. A confrontation followed.

The assailant then fired at them, hitting the minor on his right arm while Riverj sustained a lone gunshot wound on his left leg.

Consular was hit by a stray bullet on the stomach. (GYM)
