A FEMALE minor and two others were dead while 13 others were injured in separate road accidents in Negros Island in the past two days.

In Negros Occidental, Ramil Bayot, 21, of Hacienda San Ramon, Barangay 14, Victorias City died after his motorcycle collided with a tricycle along Osmeña Avenue, Barangay VI Sunday.

Also injured were Bayot’s friends, Peter John Daquil, 21 and Dieter Pacino, 19, as well as three passengers of the tricycle, Pearl Fernandez, 18, and two girls, both 16.

Police investigation showed the tricycle driven by Gerardo Villarino, 48, of Barangay 21 swerved to the left when the vehicle collided with the motorcycle.

In Bacolod City, six persons were hurt after a tricycle, a private vehicle, and an ambulance figured in an accident at Bangga Cory, Barangay Taculing Monday.

The ambulance was on its way to Murcia town to fetch a patient when it hit a tricycle loaded with six passengers. The tricycle also hit a private vehicle driven by a police officer.

In Negros Oriental, a 13-year-old girl died after the motorcycle she was riding was hit by another motorcycle along the national highway of Bonifacio Street, Barangay Mabigo in Canlaon City Sunday.

Police identified the fatality as Wencis May Quizon, 13, of Barangay Mala-iba. Injured were a 17-year-old boy and Louie John Ignacio, 21.

In Guihulngan City, Lolita Gomez Carvajal, 47, died after she fell from a tricycle along the national highway of Barangay Malusay Sunday.

The tricycle was driven by Ramon Cañedo Jimenez Jr., 29, of Barangay Basak.

Last Thursday night, an alleged mentally-ill woman died after she was ran over by a truck at Circumferential Road in Barangay Bata, Bacolod City.
Police identified the fatality as Melyamy Tomos, 31, of Purok Marapara Zone 2.

In a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera footage from a resident showed through ABS-CBN Bacolod, the victim was seen lying under the truck parked in front of a house around 10 p.m.

When the truck moved, the driver did not notice the woman under the vehicle.

The victim succumbed to head injuries.
