THE Police Station 1 of Bacolod City Police Office is investigating the robbery incidents in its area of jurisdiction last week.
Senior Inspector Leo Estopa, head of Police Station 1, said they already have a lead on the identities of the suspects who hurt and robbed a Dutch national on Burgos Street, Barangay 12 last July 12.
Police records showed that Jalal Azimi, 53, boarded a tricycle from his hotel at Rizal-Lacson Streets around 9:45 p.m.
Two women and a minor also boarded the tricycle. They were followed by two unidentified men who fired at him using an unknown firearm.
The robbers then took his bag containing his passport, identification cards, credit cards, cellular phone, wristwatch, gold necklace, and cash amounting to P150,000.
Follow-up operation is ongoing, Estopa said.
Moreover, Estopa said they are also investigating the “basag-kotse” (car robbery) incident in the parking lot of a shopping mall in Reclamation Area last Friday, July 14.
Based on the Facebook post of Jhun Mharby Orola, he parked his car in front of a fastfood chain around 2:30 p.m. to have a coffee with friends.
After an hour, he found his car window broken and his two bags containing a laptop, tablet, and other valuables were missing.
The security guard he asked turned out be clueless about the incident.
Estopa said he asked the mall’s security officer to provide them a copy of the footage from the closed circuit television camera installed in the parking lot.
They are also waiting for witnesses, he added.
