3 men rob apartment, harass two teenagers in Bacolod

Monday, August 07, 2017

TWO female teenagers were sexually harassed by one of the three unidentified men who robbed their apartment at Gardenville Subdivision, Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City, on early Saturday morning August 5.

The names of the victims were withheld.

Police Station 8 head Wilfredo Benoman Jr. said the uncle of the two minors was awakened by robbers entering the second floor of the apartment around 4 a.m.

He was threatened at gunpoint and one of the robbers tied his hands. The two other robbers went to his nieces’ room and searched for valuables.

Another robber named “Jack” harassed the girls and took off their clothes, but did not molest them as he was warned by his companion.

Armed with a .38 caliber revolver and .45 caliber pistol, the robbers, who were wearing bonnets and face masks, carted away two televisions, an Ipad tablet, Play Station 4 gaming set, three cellular phones, an electric fan, a pair of slippers, jewelry, and a wallet containing P500 cash and an automated teller machine (ATM) card.

They fled on board a motorcycle, then flagged down a pedicab driver and told him to bring the stolen items to a school in the subdivision while they were following him.

The pedicab driver didn’t know those were stolen items, which were then transferred by the robbers in a taxi.

Benoman said they suspect that members of Arnold Cuadra's organized group were behind the incident.

Meanwhile, a sari-sari store was robbed by two young men at Purok Bayanihan, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City also on Saturday.

Police records showed that suspects Ariel Jabagat, 18, and Omar Dirindigun, 18, both of the same village, were identified by witnesses.

The suspects are still at-large.
