200 cops to return to Bacolod Police Office

Saturday, August 12, 2017

ABOUT 200 policemen of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) being utilized by the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) are expected to return to their previous units.

BCPO Acting Director Jack Wanky on Friday, August 11, said these policemen will be assigned back to all 10 police stations in Bacolod.

They will be dispatch in the stations and streets, Wanky added.

The BCPO provided the regional headquarters with 200 policemen to add to their personnel, but with the dissolution of NIR, there is a possibility that these personnel will return to BCPO.

At present, BCPO has 612 police officers.

Wanky said the 200 policemen would help intensify the police visibility patrol in the streets.
