A WOUNDED sea turtle was found on the shores of Purok Campo Quino, Barangay 4 in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental last Monday, September 11.

Police records showed that fisherman Joey Lahaolahao, 39, was on his way home from fishing around 8:35 a.m. when he saw the seemingly weak turtle floating.

Lahaolahao brought the turtle to Sitio Pana-on, where they docked and called for assistance.
The sea turtle was turned over to the custody of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, but it later died due to internal bleeding.

The sea turtle weighed 60 kilos, and measured 87 centimeters long and 83 centimeters wide.
