FOURTEEN of the 155 passengers of Ocean Jet 7 fastcraft were injured after it rammed into the pier apron of Bacolod Real Estate Development Corp. (Bredco) port in Bacolod City Thursday afternoon.

Lieutenant Senior Grade Jimmy Oliver Vingno, head of Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station-Bacolod, said the vessel, which came from Iloilo City, was approaching the port around 2 p.m. when it encountered an engine trouble.

The vessel was set to unload passengers when the incident happened.

The 14 passengers suffered headaches, but they were not seriously harmed.

The vessel was also boarded by 18 crew members, who were all unharmed.

Vingno said they suspended the operation of the vessel, which will undergo repair.
