TWO persons were arrested for sale and possession of illegal drugs in separate operations in Negros Occidental.
In Escalante City, Mario Rezaga, 36, of Pag-asa Habitat Homes, Barangay Jonobjonob was collared in the said village on October 2 after he sold "shabu" (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to a police agent for P300.
He is a 10th street-level target drug personality in the city.
Recovered from Rezaga were three sachets of suspected shabu worth P1,000 and the P300 marked money.
In Hinigaran town, Solomon Leonora and Julius Morante, both 29, and residents of Tugbungan Sur, Barangay II, were arrested on October 1 after they mauled a man in the said village.
One of the suspects attempted to stab the village chief, who responded, but he was subdued. Morante also threatened the latter.
Both suspects were brought to the police station, where a sachet of shabu was confiscated from Leonora.
