THE Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) has directed personnel of all police stations in the province to conduct an inspection in KTV bars as part of their intensified anti-criminality campaign.
This is in connection with the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (Empo) of Nocppo to create an intervention for the prevention of possible commission of crimes in establishments that sell liquors.
Police are posting tarpaulins with slogans in KTV bars about the dangers of possessing firearms and bladed weapons inside these establishments.
Police reminded that customers are prohibited from bringing deadly weapons inside any establishment because it can cause danger especially when they are under the influence of intoxicating liquors.
“We are appealing to the public to cooperate and coordinate with us because all of us will benefit from this campaign,” Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil Jr., provincial director of Nocppo, said in a press statement Friday.
He also encouraged the public to cooperate with the authorities to prevent any crime.
