A COUPLE and a woman were arrested in a drug bust at Purok Cereza 1, Barangay 27 in Bacolod City Thursday night, a report from Police Regional Office-6 said.
Collared were target subject Render Alvaran, 37 and his wife Glaiza Alvaran, 40, along with Marsha Lyn Ubas, 31.
The Bacolod City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) led by Superintendent Nasruddin Tayuan raided Alvaran’s house at 7:30 p.m.
Inspector Adrian James Albaytar, assistant team leader of CDEU, said the couple sold "shabu" (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P500 to a police agent.
Ubas was also caught selling dangerous drugs inside the couple’s house during the operation.
Police recovered from the three suspects 14 sachets of suspected shabu worth P14,000.
Albaytar said the male Alvaran had an arrest warrant for sale and possession of dangerous drugs after he was involved in a drug bust in Barangay Handumanan in 2015.
Charges for violation of Sections 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the couple while Ubas is facing charges for illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
All three suspects are detained at Police Station 4.
