2 nabbed in Bacolod for drugs

TWO persons were arrested for illegal possession of dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia in separate operations at Cityville Subdivision, Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City Wednesday night.

Collared was Michael Derla, 36, the fifth drug personality of Police Station 4.

Police recovered from his possession were 11 sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P11,000 and the P500 marked money.

He was allegedly a supplier of illegal drugs in the area.

Also arrested was Charlie Prava, 30, of Bakyas Laurel, Barangay Mansilingan on Thursday.

Prava was caught dropping a toothbrush canister containing improvised tooter and a lighter while on board a tricycle on Lacson-Luzuriaga Streets in Barangay 37.

He is detained at Police Station 1.

Meanwhile, a young man was arrested after he robbed a rented room at St. Anne Subdivision in Purok Carvic, Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City Thursday afternoon.

Senior Inspector Jun Ray Batadlan, head of Police Station 3, said the suspect, John Francis Lingco, 20, of Purok Cheriza, Barangay 3, carted away several items worth P78,500, owned by Arndee Mae Lirazan, 23, of Purok M.H. del Pilar, Barangay 1, Ilog town.

Police recovered from Lingco’s possession the stolen items.

He is detained at the station.
