Friday, February 23, 2018

AN ESTIMATED P150,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) were seized in a drug bust at Purok Magnolia, Barangay 7, Bacolod City Wednesday night.

Arrested was John Carlo Paje, 22, of the said village. He is an alleged right-hand man of a drug group in the city.

Operatives of City Drug Enforcement Unit raided Paje’s house around 9 p.m. His companion Jason Cordova was able to escape.

Police recovered from Paje two big and a small sachets of suspected shabu weighing 10 grams, and the P1,000 marked money.

Paje, in a radio interview, admitted that he surrendered through Oplan Tokhang in 2016.

Meanwhile, Vincent Dayrit, 22, of Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2, was arrested by personnel of Police Station 2 in a drug bust in the said village around 4 p.m. on the same day.

Dayrit, the station’s street level target drug suspect, sold shabu to a police agent for P500.

Police further confiscated from Dayrit five sachets of shabu amounting to P5,000.

Both suspects are detained at Police Station 2.
