A SACHET of suspected drugs was recovered inside a Bible during a drug bust at Lopez Subdivision in Victorias City, Negros Occidental Wednesday, March 7.
This also resulted in the arrest of Jose Ansuyon, 54, and Marvin Dioso, 23.
Superintendent German Garbosa, city police chief, said Ansuyon's son, Joshue, 21, was the subject of the operation. He evaded arrest.
They are newly-identified drug personalities in the city.
Police raided the Ansuyon's house around 1 p.m. and caught Dioso allegedly sniffing suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride).
Authorities confiscated three sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, P400 marked money, and P200 in cash inside the house, suspected to be a drug den.
Another sachet was found hidden in a Bible.
Dioso also yielded lighter, four tally sheets, and P351 in cash.
Police claimed there was really an intention to hide the drugs in the Bible as there were cuts on its pages.
The recovered illegal drugs have an estimated value of P5,000.
Both Ansuyon and Dioso are detained at the station for the filing of drug charges.
