775T for village officials’ insurance program released

THE Provincial Government has released a total of P775,000 for the insurance programs of the barangay officials and tanods, said Anna Marie Lucasan.
Lucasan, head of the Public Affairs Division of the office of the governor, said the turn-over of checks for the beneficiaries of the program was held on Monday.

The beneficiaries of the tanods and barangay officials who died in the line of duty were given P50,000.
Meanwhile, the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Negros Occidental Comprehensive Health Program and Distribution of the Negros First Family Health cards will be held on Saturday, September 18 at the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center.
The MOA signing will be led by Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr., representatives of the six legislative districts in the province, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHIC) and the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH).
Regional Director of the Department of Health in Western Visayas, Dr. Ariel Valencia, is also expected to witness the signing along with PHIC Chief Operating Officer Melinda Mercado. (Teresa Ellera-Dulla)
