Mayor to check villages waste management system after polls

MAYOR Evelio Leonardia will revisit 61 barangays and the puroks in Bacolod City to verify their compliance on waste segregation.
It is part of the Solid Waste Management program of the City Government of Bacolod.
Leonardia said he will do it after the October 25, 2010 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections as the city's Solid Waste Management Program continues to be a major concern.
He said people shall continue explore and find means to make the city environment-friendly.
He added they are banking on the project of constructing a sanitary landfill. (Carla N. Cañet)
