Man facing multiple charges collared

A 36-YEAR-OLD suspect facing three counts of murder, frustrated murder and robbery charges was arrested Monday morning by elements of the Hinigaran PNP, said Negros Occidental PNP spokesperson Inspector Reina Protacio Wednesday.

The suspect was identified as Joery Alarcon of Hacienda Manukaw 2, Barangay Bato, Hinigaran who is presently detained at the lock up cell of the Hinigaran PNP.

Protacio said that Alarcon was arrested by joint elements of the Noppo Intelligence Branch led by Superintendent Rosauro Francisco Jr. and the Hinigaran PNP led by Senior Inspector Sonny Boy Bernus.

She said that Alarcon is wanted for three counts of murder and was arrested by virtue of the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Christopher Lock of the Regional Trial Court Branch 88 in Cavite City. No bail was recommended.

She added the suspect also facing charges of frustrated murder and has been issued a warrant of arrest by Judge Nilo Sarsaba of the Regional Trial Court - Branch 56 in Himamaylan City who recommended a P200,000 bail bond.

Alarcon was also the subject of an arrest warrant for robbery charges issued by Judge Rolando Balgos of the HInigaran Municipal Trial Court who fixed the suspect's bail at P40,000.

On the other hand, R-Jay Espere, 23, of Barangay 4, San Carlos City was also arrested Tuesday morning for theft case, the police said.

Chief Inspector Victorino Romanillos of the San Carlos City PNP stated that Espere was arrest by a team of local police officers led by Senior Police Officer Joerecto Rabacal by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Ma Rita Bascos Sarabia of the Regional Trial Court-Branch 58 of San Carlos City who fixed the bail at P36,000. The suspect is presently detained at the lock up cell of the San Carlos PNP.
