A 20-YEAR-OLD man was injured in a hacking incident Friday morning at Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City.
Police Station 10 investigator PO 2 Jonathan Guillena identified the victim as Raymond Baron of Purok Datiles, Phase 4 in Barangay Handumanan.

Guillena said that at about 1:30 a.m. Friday, Baron was allegedly hacked by the suspect identified as Lovine Pilapil, 23, due to misunderstanding while they were having a drinking spree. He said Pilapil went home after the altercation but Baron followed him.
The victim allegedly threatened to hack Pilapil who was able to wrest the 30-inch long bolo from the victim and used the weapon to hack Baron, hitting the victim's right hand and right leg.
Baron was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital while Pilapil surrendered to Police Station 10. The suspect is presently detained at the lock up cell of Police Station 10 prior to the filing of charges against him.
